Great video - may I ask you a few questions please? 1. How do I record bass guitar - straight into interface, through an amp or what? 2. how record electric guitar - what is difference from going straight into interface vs. mic up amp vs direct out of amp vs. use guitar plugin? 3. how record vocals 4. how record keyboard all to make a radio ready quality recording at home? Please advise - thank you John
Paul: very nice, simple explanation, just starting out w home studio at the young age of 72. Looking forward to being greatly inspired. Stu: thx for the used equip idea, gonna chk that out. Question: I have a Fishman Loudbox mini pa , can it somehow be used as an interface ?
Fantastic videos, and I wanted to ask for your advice. I have a 13X13 room and will be using a Universal Audio Volt 276 for playing Bass Guitar and keyboards to write and produce music. I am confused on how big of a studio monitor (KRK Gen 4 is what I am looking at), what OHM for headphones (DT 700 Pro X is what I am looking at), and what free DAW software is best to set up a studio in my house. Any suggestions?
he really motivated me at the end,"just start doing it, its amazing". inspirational fr
Getting back in to home recording, am I crazy for just wanting to do it on a Tascam 16 and not having to use my darn computer for every single thing in my life? I can always use a DAW later in the process. But to record, why would anyone want a computer instead of a solid standalone mixer? That computer will become a dinosaur in three years. The Tascam will probably still be putting in work in 30
Just got an interface and am totally new to DAW. I've used fruity loops for years with just a mouse and keyboard. I do not have a computer. I have fruity loops mobile, and samsung Note 20 ultra 5g. The interface i just got, which was a gift from a friend, is the behringer 404hd. For temporary use, would this run ok to record and any other DAW stuff thats not expensive that would run on my phone pretty decent? Opinions?
The song you played was a softer rock. Would a laptop work for heavier rock too, or would it mess up the sound?
excellent presentation...good crisp cadence..thanks.
Hello. what parameters should a computer have for comfortable work in a home recording studio? that's the bare minimum. the budget computer. and what parameters so perfect. thank you.
Is 8gb of ram good for recording guitar???
Well dang this is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Paul!
I have an hp laptop with a focicute studio
Best thing I ever did was start building my home studio kit
There was no mention of a video recorder / camera or did I miss it?
nah i focused on having 42+ guitars rather than pay my tuition 😭
And now another video: How to set all of the 5 million available volume knobs.
