Archeage Unchained and Gamigo obviously had a rough launch. They've since had many issues, the population has dropped off which is to be expected but a lot of people are still loving the game. Archeage will most likely be around a long time and I wish them the best. I'm so glad that I was made aware of this because it genuinely brought a smile to my face. It just can't get more perfect than a company like Gamigo can be so tone deaf as to set out the rule of what is and isn't pay to win to their consumers. #ArcheAge Hello everyone, and happy holidays. This time, we have footage from the latest ArcheAge 5.0 patch. Since this is the 10th video in the series, there's a lot more footage packed into this one. Because of the update, server merge, and the news about Gamigo taking over, a lot of players have returned to check the current state of the game. The changes that we've received from XL over the course of 2018 have started to get recognition and the response has been relatively positive. The current direction is better than in the past, but it still remains to be seen if it'll stay that way. With the Gamigo news and the 5.0 update, there's been a lot of misunderstandings about ArcheAge being thrown around. Don't listen to those saying that the game is no longer P2W, while we've been moving in that direction, we're not quite there yet. At the same time, also take the comments of those that haven't touched the game for years with a grain of salt, they have missed a lot of important changes that have given players more breathing room. * We've reached the end of 2018 and another year has passed by. Here's hoping that we'll see each other again in 2019. Useful Links for context: 🤍 (Breakdown of ArcheAge Unchained's "Big Expansion" known as "Garden of the Gods" which was paywalled and sold to players as DLC, which they had originally promised there would be no additional fees after paying for the base game. Also, releasing a fresh start server at the same exact time as the DLC, which hurt the player population on many servers.) 🤍 (Starting with "Pay for Convenience" Gamigo shifts their stance on what they believe to be "Pay to Win Items", and start to add items only obtainable through the Diligence Shop to their Credits Shop) 🤍 (Gamigo adds in Pay to Win items into the Play Test Server which follows with tremendous player backlash - they still added it to the main game despite the backlash) I'd like to say, the base game of ArcheAge I think is still really fun, however, I can't support a company that breaks their promises of keeping their game non-pay to win while consistently ignoring player feedback. This was the last straw for most players including myself, and it's clear from Gamigo's decisions, they want to milk as much money as they can from their current player base before ArcheAge 2 inevitably releases. It was fun while it lasted, and good luck to any players that decide to stick around for merges or transfers if they ever come out.

If you are interested in the full videos check the live streams 🤍 🤍 The honor pot that I'm using is from the combat archepass which gives 50% bonus honor. Alternatively you can craft/buy a sunlight juice which gives 30% bonus honor. Bluesalt bond honor quests are from the support board in your hero's hall. Hero's can activate it every 6 hours for a random new quest. There's a total of 5 different quests. All bluesalt bond quests combined give a total of 12,000 honor when using a 50% honor pot. I also had the fortress quest in Diamond Shores completed and ready to turn in for an additional 1350 honor.

We are a couple days from the start of the next Archepass season (7). Let's review the changes as well as the addition of the new advanced pass. The advanced pass lasts longer but the cost for entry for "premium" is almost twice as much. Also an update on server transfers which I know many are eagerly anticipating
Edit: Since this video from PTS, yes, the ArchePass went live as is. Highlight from today's stream discussing the potential new AAU Archepass that brings in P2W/Progression items directly for credits, and how powerless it feels especially with everything the community has done to comment and come up with alternative ways for Gamigo to make a better monetization system for Archeage Unchained, they continue ignoring the community. Archeage has to be one of the most disappointing MMORPGs. Every time it gets a fresh breath of life, someone creeps up behind it and hits it with a lead pipe. Usually the publisher but the developer can't escape with almost a decade of letting this happen either. Kakao took over, changed the monetization model and then just let people rampantly abuse alt accounts in a way that is worse than even Gamigo's incompetence. Then they started banning people, 10 THOUSAND ALTS later and they banned 75 main accounts. No rollback. Ridiculous.
