This is MOST of the mayday call, as some parts were never recorded due to radio failure. It should also be clear that the sinking was going on for over 30 minutes, so this video length does not represent the real time situation; I've just compressed it to be as short as possible. On Friday, 26 November 1999 Sleipner left Haugesund at 18.50 on course for Bergen. Across the open sea at Sletta, the boat experienced strong winds from the south-west. At 19.08 the boat crashed into the rock called Store Bloksen. Immediately after the crash, Sleipner notified the authorities of the accident via Rogaland Radio (RR) which was relayed to the Hovedredningssentralen (Joint Rescue Coordination Centre of Southern Norway), stating that Sleipner had hit the rocks near the Ryvarden Lighthouse. Recognizing the possible consequences of the accident, the JRCC declared a Mayday situation, something the Sleipner crew had not done. All ships within a 30–45-minute radius of the accident were asked to assist in the rescue operation, and about half an hour after Sleipner sank. Approximately 10–12 boats were providing assistance. Of the 85 people on board, 69 were saved. Afterwards the bodies of the remaining 16 people were recovered and identified. This made it the most severe accident with passenger ferries in the recent history of Norway.

То есть, определенное сопротивление коррозии она имеет, но все-таки клинки требуют ухода: их стоит вытирать насухо после воды, раз в 3-4 недели протирать баллистолом. Углерод (C) 0,9% Хром(Cr) 7,8% Марганец (Mn) 0,5% Кремний (Si) 0,9% Молибден (Mo) 2,5% Ванадий (V) 0,5% Ножи из стали Sleipner относятся к среднему или высокому ценовому сегменту. Sleipner - den 8 benede hest fra Valhalla. Ørnereservatet fik i efteråret en ny hest som med tiden skal indgå i vores programmer med klassisk falkoneri. Altså den form for træning som tager os flere tusinder år tilbage i tiden –langt ud på asiens stepper hvor rytter, hest og falk eller ørn gik på jagt sammen. En interessant kulturoplevelse man kan opleve i Ørnereservatet. I 2012 blev falkejagt anerkendt af FN, Unesco, som en kulturel verdensarv, der skal beskyttes i henhold til konventionen om beskyttelse af den immaterielle kulturarv. Ørnereservatet har i over 40 år haft heste og allerede fra Ørnereservatets spæde start var det den legendariske havørn Nøkke og araberhesten Karim ude i terrænet der samarbejdede med familien Wenzel. Siden da -har det været Oldenborg, senest Dansk varmblod og nu Frieser. Valget faldt på Frieser da de både er kloge og rolige –dog kan de være temperamentsfulde. Friseren har nogle fantastiske bevægelser som man kan se i videoen herunder. Frieseren har sin afstamning fra barokracen, som gør den velegnet til bla. klassisk dressur men Frieserens er først og fremmest en god terrænhest. For dem der kender adventurefilmen Lady Hawk ser man en smuk frieserhingst. Filmen handler kort fortalt om ridderen Etienne der forvandles til ulv om natten, og Isabeau er høg om dagen, de to har en umulig kærlighedsaffære på dramatisk vis. Frieserhesten har en spændende historie og stammer helt tilbage til det 16. og 17. århundrede fra de spanske Andalusierne og især fra avlen i Nederlandene. Meget tyder på billederne, fra den tid, at de også var ideale krigs- og skoleheste. I det 19. århundrede udmærkede Frieserne sig som kørehest først og fremmest gennem de berømte ridemestre De Saunier og De La Gueriniere. Den første dokumenterede Friserhest i Danmark kom fra Holland og blev importeret af Fru Svanholm fra Ravnborg Gods i Nordjylland, skriver Dansk Frieserforbund på deres hjemmeside. Navnet ”Sleipner” hører til i den nordiske mytologi og det er Odins sorte hingst. Sleipner har 8 ben og den kan løbe stærkt som vinden og bevæge sig lige godt i luften som på jorden. Så lige netop det navn kommer som kaldet fra himlen - til Ørnereservatet. Sleipner har her i Ørnereservatet allerede lært mange fugle at kende, hovedsagelig er det de hurtige sakerfalke ved navn Blonde og Gertrud som har kastet kærligheden på den 7 år gamle Sleipner. Sakerfalkene er også unge som Sleiper og knapt et år gamle, men allerede langt i deres træning med heste. Sleipner er både nysgerrig og meget lærenem - så han er en fornøjelse at samarbejde med. Ørnereservatets rytter, den 28 årige Julie som til daglig træner med Sleipner, har fået en rigtig god kontakt med ham. Julie forstår, at aflæse alle de vigtige signaler. Men det kommer heller ikke af ingenting - da Julie er af 4 generations hesteavler familie fra Nordjylland.
