If I don’t have C-LOG, which Picture Style should I use? This video, we will go over all of that and more. The Canon R5 is one of the most powerful cameras out there right now and understanding everything that it can do makes it even more powerful in your hands. CLOG stands for Canon Log and it is a method of recording a video that removes the “filter” so to speak, and gives you a higher dynamic range and a customization in color editing that you would not get in Picture Styles. However, it does require a lot more work and time in post to bring back the colors and give it a color style. Picture Styles, unlike C-Log, give the video sort of a preset color edit, however minor, it is still some that allows you to take it from camera and use as is, or add some color or style to it. But it is more limited than C-Log. Finding, setting and understanding these will allow you to chose which one is right for you and which one works best for your project.
