Warren Buffett explains why he considers S&P 500 Index Fund to be the best investment for the majority of people. In fact, most people who are paid to deliver higher returns than the indexes (mutual fund managers, financial advisors etc.), can't outperform the stock market. The question goes: “Why have you advised your wife to invest in index funds after your death rather than Berkshire Hathaway? I believe Munger has counseled his offspring to quote, ‘Not be so dumb as to sell.’” From Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting. (2017) Warren E. Buffett is an American long-term investor, philanthropist, business tycoon, and the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. He is considered one of the most successful investors in the world and has a net worth of over 100 billion dollars. Buffett was born in Omaha, Nebraska. He developed an interest in business and investing in his youth and made truly incredible stock market returns over his career. Share this video with a friend if you found it useful! The iShares Core S&P 500 ETF, ticker symbol IVV, is managed by BlackRock and tracks the performance of the S&P 500 index. It was launched in 2000 and has since become one of the most popular ETFs on the market. As of September 2021, it has over $500 billion in assets under management and a market capitalization of over $100 billion. Welcome to our presentation on the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF. This ETF is a popular choice for investors looking to gain exposure to the S&P 500, a broad-based index that represents the performance of 500 large-cap companies listed on the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ. But before we delve into the details of this ETF, let's first understand what an ETF is and how it works. An ETF, or exchange-traded fund, is a type of investment vehicle that tracks the performance of a particular index, commodity, or basket of assets. It is similar to a mutual fund in that it pools together the assets of many investors and allows them to diversify their portfolio across a wide range of assets. However, unlike mutual funds, ETFs trade on an exchange like stocks, making them more accessible and easier to buy and sell. Now, let's take a closer look at the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF. One of the main attractions of the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF is its diversification. The S&P 500 index consists of 500 large-cap companies across various sectors, including technology, finance, healthcare, and consumer goods. This diversity helps to minimize the risk of investing in a single company or sector and provides investors with a balanced portfolio. In terms of performance, the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF has consistently outperformed the broader market. Over the past 5 years, it has delivered an annualized return of approximately 10%. This is significantly higher than the average return of the S&P 500 index, which stands at around 8%. The iShares Core S&P 500 ETF is also a low-cost option for investors. It has an expense ratio of just 0.03%, which is one of the lowest in the industry. This means that investors pay very little in fees for the fund, making it an attractive choice for long-term investors. In terms of holdings, the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF is heavily weighted towards the tech sector, with companies like Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon making up a significant portion of the fund. It also has a significant exposure to the healthcare and financial sectors. One thing to note is that the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF is a passive investment vehicle, meaning that it simply tracks the performance of the S&P 500 index and does not actively manage its holdings. This means that it may not outperform actively managed funds in certain market conditions. However, for most investors, the benefits of passive investing outweigh the potential for higher returns from active management. In conclusion, the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF is a popular choice for investors looking to gain exposure to the S&P 500 and diversify their portfolio. It has a strong track record of performance, low fees, and a diverse range of holdings across various sectors. If you're considering adding this ETF to your portfolio, it's important to consult with a financial advisor and consider your investment goals and risk tolerance. Thank you for joining us today and we hope you have a better understanding of the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF.

Vanguard ETFs and iShares ETFs are incredibly popular amongst investors. Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) and iShares have the same cost to the investor (expense ratio) and track the same index so they should give investors the same returns. WeBull Free Stock: 🤍 Other ETFs from Vanguard and iShares cannot be compared so easily because they will hold different investments and so have different returns, so as an investor you should see which fund fits your investment goals and risk profiles before choosing. Expense ratios for these ETFs are important when looking at index trackers, but less so when the fund portfolios aren't the same, then it's really about the total returns of the ETFs. Vanguard is an absolute behemoth when it comes to assets under management and runs some of the best and cheapest index funds and ETFs in the world. The 10 biggest asset managers have roughly $13 trillion in assets and Vanguard holds over a third of that money. But Vanguard isn’t the biggest ETF provider. That accolade goes to BlackRock’s iShares. iShares doesn’t seem to have the same cult following as Vanguard but surely only an idiot investor would ignore them. Regular watchers of this channel will know that our investment vehicle of choice is of course the Exchange Traded Fund, but is Vanguard the de facto choice or should investors be investing in the ETF provider’s competition? 13.02.2023

Hello and welcome to this informative video about the iShares S&P 500 Value ETF, also known as IVE. In this video, we will discuss what an ETF is, the investment objective of IVE, the benefits of investing in IVE, and how it can be a part of a well-diversified investment portfolio. So, without further ado, let's get started. What is an ETF: An Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) is a type of investment fund that tracks a specific index, commodity, or a basket of assets. ETFs are similar to mutual funds, but they trade like individual stocks on an exchange. ETFs provide investors with a convenient way to invest in a diversified portfolio of stocks with a single purchase. About IVE: The iShares S&P 500 Value ETF (IVE) is a passively managed ETF that seeks to track the performance of the S&P 500 Value Index. The S&P 500 Value Index is made up of the cheapest 50% of the stocks in the S&P 500 based on the ratio of price to earnings, price to book value, and other financial metrics. The goal of IVE is to provide investors with exposure to large-cap U.S. value stocks. Investment Objective: The investment objective of IVE is to provide long-term capital appreciation and to track the performance of the S&P 500 Value Index. By investing in IVE, investors gain exposure to a diversified portfolio of U.S. large-cap value stocks. The ETF holds stocks in various industries, including healthcare, financials, and consumer staples, to name a few. Benefits of Investing in IVE: There are several benefits of investing in IVE, including: Diversification: IVE provides investors with exposure to a diverse portfolio of U.S. large-cap value stocks, reducing the risk of investment concentration in a single stock or sector. Low Costs: IVE is a passively managed ETF, which means that it has lower management fees compared to actively managed funds. This results in higher returns for investors over the long term. Liquidity: As an ETF, IVE can be easily bought and sold on an exchange like a stock. This makes it an attractive investment option for those who want to buy and sell their investments quickly and easily. Tax Efficiency: ETFs are generally more tax-efficient compared to mutual funds because they are structured in a way that reduces the frequency of taxable events. Exposure to Value Stocks: By investing in IVE, investors gain exposure to value stocks, which are stocks that are considered undervalued relative to their earnings, book value, or other financial metrics. Inclusion in a Diversified Portfolio: IVE can be a valuable addition to a well-diversified investment portfolio. The ETF provides exposure to large-cap U.S. value stocks, which can help to reduce the overall risk of the portfolio. Additionally, the low management fees of IVE can help to increase returns over the long term. Conclusion: In conclusion, the iShares S&P 500 Value ETF (IVE) is a passively managed ETF that seeks to track the performance of the S&P 500 Value Index. IVE provides investors with exposure to a diverse portfolio of U.S. large-cap value stocks and offers several benefits, including low costs, liquidity, and tax efficiency. By including IVE in a well-diversified investment portfolio, investors can reduce their overall investment

12.01.2023

The iShares Core S&P Total U.S. Stock Market ETF (ITOT) is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) that aims to provide broad exposure to the U.S. stock market by tracking the performance of the S&P Total Market Index. This index includes virtually all publicly traded companies in the U.S., making ITOT a convenient way for investors to gain exposure to a wide variety of stocks in one investment. ITOT is managed by BlackRock, one of the largest asset managers in the world. The fund is designed to be a low-cost way for investors to gain exposure to the U.S. stock market, with an expense ratio of just 0.03%. This is significantly lower than the average expense ratio of actively managed mutual funds, making ITOT an attractive option for cost-conscious investors. One of the main benefits of ITOT is its broad diversification. The fund holds over 3,500 stocks, making it one of the most diversified ETFs on the market. This diversification helps to reduce risk by spreading investments across a wide variety of companies and sectors. Additionally, ITOT's tracking of the S&P Total Market Index means that it includes both small- and large-cap stocks, providing exposure to a range of companies at different stages of growth. Another benefit of ITOT is its convenience. The fund allows investors to gain exposure to a wide variety of stocks in one investment, rather than having to purchase individual stocks. This can save investors time and effort, as well as reduce the need for frequent trading. Additionally, the ETF structure of ITOT allows for easy buying and selling on a stock exchange, similar to individual stocks. ITOT is also a tax-efficient investment option. ETFs generally have lower turnover than actively managed mutual funds, which means they are less likely to trigger capital gains taxes. Additionally, the fund's diversification helps to reduce the risk of concentrated positions that could trigger large capital gains taxes. Overall, the iShares Core S&P Total U.S. Stock Market ETF (ITOT) is a convenient and low-cost way for investors to gain broad exposure to the U.S. stock market. The fund's diversification and tax efficiency make it an attractive option for long-term investors looking for a simple and effective way to invest in the U.S. stock market. Please note that investing in any stock market ETF carries risks, and is not a guarantee of returns. Investors should conduct their own research and consult their financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

This and other information can be found in the Funds' prospectuses or, if available, the summary prospectuses which may be obtained by visiting 🤍iShares.com or 🤍blackrock.com. Read the prospectus carefully before investing. Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal. There can be no assurance that an active trading market for shares of an ETF will develop or be maintained. International investing involves risks, including risks related to foreign currency, limited liquidity, less government regulation and the possibility of substantial volatility due to adverse political, economic or other developments. These risks often are heightened for investments in emerging/developing markets and in concentrations of single countries. Funds that concentrate investments in specific industries, sectors, markets or asset classes may underperform or be more volatile than other industries, sectors, markets or asset classes and the general securities market. A fund's environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) investment strategy limits the types and number of investment opportunities available to the fund and, as a result, the fund may underperform other funds that do not have an ESG focus. A fund's ESG investment strategy may result in the fund investing in securities or industry sectors that underperform the market as a whole or underperform other funds screened for ESG standards. In addition, companies selected by the index provider may not exhibit positive or favorable ESG characteristics. Commodities' prices may be highly volatile. Prices may be affected by various economic, financial, social and political factors, which may be unpredictable and may have a significant impact on the prices of precious metals. ITOT vs. VTI - U.S. Stock Market ETFs - iShares or Vanguard?

24.09.2022

Here we look at 2 ETFs for the total U.S. stock market – ITOT and VTI – from iShares and Vanguard, respectively. // TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 - Intro 00:07 - ITOT vs. VTI - Methodology and Composition 01:19 - Historical Performance 01:28 - Conclusion // SUMMARY: If you’ve arrived on this video, you probably already know that index funds are a great way to get instant diversification across sectors and cap sizes. Thankfully, fees have also dropped in recent years to make ETFs extremely affordable for retail investors. ITOT is the iShares Core S&P Total U.S. Stock Market ETF. It is the second most popular fund to capture the total U.S. stock market, after VTI. It was established in 2004. The fund seeks to track the famous S&P Total Market Index. ITOT has over $42 billion in assets and has a little over 3,500 holdings. The Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF (VTI) provides similar broad exposure to the U.S. stock market. It launched in 2001. The fund seeks to track the CRSP US Total Market Index. This ETF holds about 3,800 U.S. stocks. VTI is more popular than ITOT with over $260 billion in assets. Both of these funds are highly liquid, with an average spread of 0.01%. Sector composition is nearly identical. They also cost the same at 0.03%, and can thus be seen as interchangeable. The indexes for these two funds differ very slightly. Basically, VTI gets marginally more exposure to small- and mid-caps, which likely explains its very slight historical outperformance over ITOT. Again, ITOT and VTI are basically interchangeable. This is definitely a great pair to use for tax loss harvesting purposes to avoid a wash sale, but given the choice of one over the other, I see no reason not to go with VTI from Vanguard. It has more assets and has, in my opinion, a bit more preferable exposure to smaller stocks. iShares have just launched a new ETF and we think it could be a game changer. Some of you will know that certain greedy governments around the world deduct a percentage from dividends known as a withholding tax. Up until now we believed this nasty tax was mostly unavoidable, but we’re now delighted to say we have a solution! iShares have just launched a synthetic replicated S&P 500 ETF costing just 0.07%. It’s called iShares S&P 500 SWAP ETF, ticker I500. This ETF should significantly outperform any physical S&P 500 ETF that you likely hold in your portfolio! Being armed with this knowledge could save you over 200 thousand pounds over a lifetime. In this video we’re going to look at dividend withholding tax, what a synthetic ETF is, their advantages including how they can boost investment returns, and any associated risks. The iShares S&P GSCI Commodity-Indexed Trust, ticker symbol GSG, is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) that provides exposure to a diversified basket of commodities. The fund tracks the performance of the S&P GSCI Total Return Index, which is a composite index of 24 commodity futures contracts across five sectors: energy, industrial metals, precious metals, agriculture, and livestock. GSG offers investors a convenient way to gain exposure to the commodity markets without the need to buy and store physical commodities or trade futures contracts directly. The fund allows investors to invest in a broad basket of commodities with a single purchase, providing diversification and risk management benefits. The fund's holdings are rebalanced periodically to ensure that the weightings of the different commodities in the index reflect their relative importance in the global economy. The fund's holdings are also adjusted for changes in the prices of the underlying commodities to maintain the fund's exposure to the index. One of the key advantages of GSG is that it provides exposure to a broad range of commodities, rather than focusing on a single commodity or sector. This can help to reduce the risk of investing in a single commodity, which can be subject to price volatility and supply disruptions. Additionally, the fund is structured as a grantor trust, which means that it is not subject to corporate income taxes. This can result in a higher return for investors compared to a fund structured as a corporation. One potential drawback of investing in GSG is that the fund's performance is closely tied to the performance of the underlying commodities, which can be affected by a variety of factors such as supply and demand, weather, geopolitical events, and economic conditions. Also, the fund's performance can be affected by changes in the prices of the underlying futures contracts, which are subject to contango and backwardation. Contango occurs when the price of a futures contract is higher than the spot price, while backwardation occurs when the price of a futures contract is lower than the spot price. This can result in a negative roll yield for the fund, which can reduce its returns. In summary, GSG is an ETF that provides exposure to a diversified basket of commodities. It offers investors a convenient way to gain exposure to the commodity markets and provides diversification and risk management benefits. However, the fund's performance is closely tied to the performance of the underlying commodities, which can be affected by a variety of factors and may not be suitable for all investors.

iShares iBoxx $ Investment Grade Corporate Bond ETF: $LQD #LQD

The iShares iBoxx $ Investment Grade Corporate Bond ETF (LQD) is a exchange-traded fund (ETF) that aims to track the performance of the Markit iBoxx USD Liquid Investment Grade Index. The index is composed of U.S. dollar-denominated, investment grade corporate bonds. Investment grade means that the bonds have been rated by credit rating agencies as having a relatively low risk of default. LQD was launched in 2002 and is managed by BlackRock, one of the largest asset managers in the world. It has over $37 billion in assets under management and is one of the largest and most liquid corporate bond ETFs on the market. The fund holds a diversified portfolio of over 1,500 corporate bonds, with the top 10 holdings comprising less than 20% of the total assets. LQD is designed to provide investors with exposure to the U.S. corporate bond market, which offers the potential for income generation and diversification benefits. Corporate bonds are debt securities issued by companies to raise capital. They typically pay a fixed or variable interest rate to bondholders, which is known as the coupon rate. The issuer of the bond is obligated to make interest payments to the bondholders until the bond matures, at which point the issuer repays the principal amount to the bondholders. One of the main advantages of investing in LQD is the potential for steady income. The fund has a current yield of around 3.5%, which means that investors can expect to receive regular income from their investments in the form of coupon payments. This can be particularly appealing for income-oriented investors, such as retirees, who are looking to generate a steady stream of income from their investments. Another advantage of LQD is its low expense ratio. The fund has an expense ratio of 0.15%, which is relatively low compared to other corporate bond ETFs on the market. This means that investors can expect to pay relatively low fees for the fund's management and administration. One potential risk of investing in LQD is interest rate risk. When interest rates rise, the value of existing bonds tends to fall, as new bonds are issued with higher yields. This can lead to price declines in the fund's portfolio. However, the fund's diversified portfolio and investment grade ratings can help to mitigate this risk. In summary, the iShares iBoxx $ Investment Grade Corporate Bond ETF (LQD) is a diversified, low-cost ETF that provides investors with exposure to the U.S. corporate bond market. It offers the potential for steady income and diversification benefits, but also carries some interest rate risk. As with any investment, it is important to carefully consider your investment objectives and risk tolerance before deciding whether LQD is suitable for your portfolio.

In this video, we will be discussing the iShares Core S&P U.S. Value ETF, ticker symbol IUSV. The iShares Core S&P U.S. Value ETF is a low-cost exchange-traded fund that tracks the performance of the S&P 500 Value Index. The fund is designed for investors looking for exposure to the U.S. equity market with a focus on value stocks. What is an ETF? An ETF, or exchange-traded fund, is a type of investment fund that tracks the performance of an underlying index, commodity, or basket of assets. ETFs are traded on stock exchanges and can be bought and sold like individual stocks. They provide investors with a convenient and cost-effective way to gain exposure to a diversified portfolio of assets. What is the S&P 500 Value Index? The S&P 500 Value Index is a market capitalization-weighted index that tracks the performance of the value segment of the U.S. equity market. The index is comprised of large-cap stocks from the S&P 500 Index that are deemed to be undervalued based on a variety of fundamental metrics such as price-to-book, price-to-earnings, and dividend yield. How does IUSV work? The iShares Core S&P U.S. Value ETF tracks the performance of the S&P 500 Value Index by investing in a portfolio of stocks that closely matches the index. The fund is rebalanced regularly to ensure that it remains aligned with the index. IUSV is a passively managed fund, meaning that it is not actively managed by a fund manager. Instead, the fund simply tracks the performance of the index it is designed to replicate. This results in lower management fees and expenses compared to actively managed funds. Benefits of Investing in IUSV: Low Cost: One of the key benefits of investing in IUSV is its low cost. The fund has an expense ratio of just 0.03%, which is significantly lower than the average for actively managed funds. This results in more of the investment returns being retained by the investor, rather than being consumed by fees and expenses. Diversification: By investing in a broad portfolio of stocks, IUSV provides investors with exposure to a diversified mix of companies in different industries and sectors. This reduces the risk of having too much exposure to any one stock or sector, which can help to minimize the impact of individual stock price fluctuations. Exposure to Value Stocks: IUSV provides investors with exposure to value stocks, which are companies that are deemed to be undervalued based on a variety of fundamental metrics. Historically, value stocks have tended to outperform growth stocks over the long term, making IUSV a compelling investment option for value-oriented investors. Conclusion: In conclusion, the iShares Core S&P U.S. Value ETF is a low-cost and convenient way for investors to gain exposure to the U.S. equity market with a focus on value stocks. With its low expense ratio, broad diversification, and exposure to value stocks, IUSV is an attractive investment option for investors seeking long-term growth and stability in their portfolios. As always, it is important to consult with a financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

The iShares iBonds Dec 2023 Term Treasury ETF (IBTD) is a exchange-traded fund (ETF) that aims to provide investors with exposure to the U.S. Treasury market. The fund invests in a portfolio of U.S. Treasury bonds with a maturity date of December 2023. The U.S. Treasury market is considered one of the most stable and secure markets in the world. Treasury bonds are issued by the U.S. government and are considered a low-risk investment. They offer a fixed rate of return and are backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government. The IBTD ETF is suitable for investors who are looking for a low-risk investment option with a specific maturity date. The fund provides an easy way for investors to gain exposure to the U.S. Treasury market without having to purchase individual bonds. One of the benefits of investing in the IBTD ETF is the diversification it offers. The fund holds a variety of Treasury bonds with different maturities and interest rates, which helps to spread risk among different securities. This diversification can help to reduce the overall risk of the portfolio. Another benefit of the IBTD ETF is its liquidity. The fund is traded on an exchange, which means that shares can be bought and sold throughout the trading day at the current market price. This can be particularly useful for investors who need to liquidate their position quickly. However, there are also some potential drawbacks to consider when investing in the IBTD ETF. One of the main risks is interest rate risk. When interest rates rise, the value of existing bonds decreases. This means that the value of the IBTD ETF could decrease if interest rates rise. Another risk to consider is credit risk. Treasury bonds are considered a low-risk investment, but there is still a small possibility that the U.S. government may default on its debt. This risk is considered to be very low, but it is still a risk to consider. In summary, the iShares iBonds Dec 2023 Term Treasury ETF (IBTD) is a low-risk investment option that offers investors exposure to the U.S. Treasury market. The fund is suitable for investors looking for a specific maturity date and who want to diversify their portfolio. However, it also carries some risks, such as interest rate risk and credit risk, and it is important for investors to be aware of these before investing.
