Licuala grandis or ruffled fan palm is a species of palm tree in the family Arecaceae. It is a native of Vanuatu, an island nation in Pacific Ocean. It is a slow growing small palm with exotic looks Music: Music promoted by 🤍
An incredibly popular and common palm found in landscapes and gardens around the globe is Chamaerops humilis. The common names are European Fan Palm and Mediterranean Fan Palm. This video is about just one of the varieties Chamaerops humilis var. 'humilis', the greenest in coloration and the most widely grown of the handful of varieties. Videos will be produced on the other varieties of Chamaerops humilis in the future. Chamaerops humilis var. 'humilis' is a durable palm, suitable for many climates, especially Mediterranean climates. It is cold hardy and can survive periods of drought. Very attractive and easy to take care of.
My Chamaerops Humilis Palm has eight suckers that are literally sucking the life out of it. After two years of feeling scared to confront the huge task of repotting and separating, I finally found the courage to separate the suckers of my multitrunk Chamaerops Humilis Palm. Update: I had to re-edit this video and re-upload because I realized that an FM radio was playing in the background on some of the clips, which is copyright infringement. Update 2: All the babies were goners. They didn´t survive. From my research I found out that suckers hardly survive once separated from their moms. Had I known this, I wouldn´t have sacrificed my stainless kitchen knife trying to get as much rootball as possible. But I don´t regret FREEING the mom from its suckers. * Follow me on instagram - 🤍iamhappysis 🤍
On a recent trip to southern California, I made sure to seek out the California Fan Palm (Washingtonia filifera), after seeing a really cool Instagram post about the plant. It’s the only native palm to the western US, and one of the tallest palm species in the Americas. These palms can be found in small groups in desert oases - places where water reaches the surface, sometimes because of geological faults. It was fun to hike through dry, relatively bare landscapes to finally reach one of these oases, full of water-loving plants and other interesting life. It was also cool to see how widespread this species was used in landscaping - I saw many of them planted throughout Palm Springs and the surrounding cities. LinkTree - 🤍

Hi friends. In this video I'm going to discuss in detail about Chinese fan palm. These palms are native to China and Japan and because of their hardiness they recomended for beginning gardeners. I'm gonna share some tips and tricks for ideal growing conditions. Water: pour water slowly around the centre of base so that it filters down slowly. Use filtered or distilled Water. Light: Chinese fan palm enjoys indoors swith bright indirect light daily. Rotate the foliage so that it gets even light. Soil: Chinese fan palm can grow in well drained potting mix and tolerates many different soil media. Fertilization: Fertilization is more important if grown outside. Use a diluted houseplant fertilizer once a month. Repotting: Next i will talk about it's repotting. Chinese fan palm doesn't needs to be repotted often. But if the soil grows out of it's pot then repotting can be helpful. Propagation: Chinese fan palm propagates through seeds but it can take a long time to germinate. This palm can also be propagated through cuttings. New cutting should be planted in soil rich in organic matter. Tips and tricks : For younger palms keep the soil moist but not soggy. Prune the plant's dead leaves once a year. If mites become a problem use a soapy water mixture to control infestation. Let me know in the comment section below if you have any questions related to Chinese fan palm. Don't forget to subscribe to my channel. Thanks for watching. Instagram: wajeehas_garden

In this video I talk about the Mexican Fan Palm (Washingtonia robusta) and show the one that I have. This palm is native to Northwestern Mexico and is a very popular palm in the Southwest U.S. in places such as California. It is also grown in South Texas as well as the Coastal Southeast U.S. and throughout much of Florida. These palms have a very fast growth rate and love full sun.

I have been doing the palm fan a lot and wanted to come up with some other ways to get out of the trick so I came up with this. I've been experimenting with some variations of this too where you catch it in the standard open position instead of going into the basic fan. For this short I get into the palm fan using an Ice Pick Spin variation, if you want to see 2 more Ice Pick Spin variations, check out this short next: 🤍 The balisong I am using is the Will Hirsch x Nabalis Vulp. #shorts #balisong #butterflyknife
I posted a short showcasing a palm fan to regular fan a little bit ago. During the process of learning that trick, I accidentally caught the butterfly knife in the open position quite a few times. I thought it was a really cool trick also and wanted to show you it! I found while recording this, that it is much easier to catch it when throwing the palm fan just once and at an angle to where the handles will naturally come together. I have done the trick with multiple spins also, but I haven't gotten that one down enough yet to be able to show you. Bgm President 🤍 10 FACTS ABOUT LICUALA GRANDIS PLANT AND CARE TIPS/ RUFFLED PALM Ruffled FAN PALM PAMBANSANG DAHON NG PILIPINAS #LICUALAGRANDIS #PALM #RUFFLEDPALM Calling the Licuala Grandis (more commonly called the Vanuatu Fan, Ray Palm and Palas Palm) beautiful, may be an understatement. This plant “wildens” any space you place it in, and looks much harder to take care of than it actually is. The Licuala Grandis is a slow growing, and surprisingly very hardy tropical plant, native to the Vanuatu Islands right off the coast of Australia. Its distinct, fan-shaped leaves should be handled carefully, as the edges are sharp. Origin: Native to the Vanuatu Islands, off the coast of Australia Common Names: Vanuatu Fan, Ray Palm and Palas Palm Toxicity: Mildly toxic to dogs and cats if ingested (risk for mild gastrointestinal irritation, vomiting and diarrhea). Water / Humidity: The Licuala Grandis isn’t overly finicky about humidity or water. Allow the surface of the soil to dry out before watering thoroughly again. Plan for more frequent misting than watering (2-3 times per week misting). Light: This is a plant you can place in either indirect or low light it’ll do just fine in either light environment, though will grow very slowly. Bright indirect light is best, but keep yours out of direct full sun, which can scorch its leaves. Soil / Nutrients: Well draining soil and apply a few drops of general houseplant fertiliser to the soil once a month from spring to summer, following the package instructions for dilution and administration. Do not provide nutrients in the fall and winter, as the plant goes into its dormant state. Temperature: Between 10 - 27°C indoors is ideal. 🌻 🌼 🌷 🌱 🌲 🌳 🌴 🌵 🌾 🌿 ☘️ 🍀 🍁 🍂 🍃 Write your questions, recommendations and suggestions in the comments below the videos and on Instagram 🤍itsmarkofthejungle_plants 🤍 Business inquries : You may email jomarkcanezares🤍gmail.com for inquiries. ©2020 -2021 Mark of the Jungle Plants All rights reserved. 💚FOLLOW/SUB ↴ ▶ Subscribe to YouTube: 🤍 ▶ Instagram :🤍 ▶ Facebook Page: 🤍 ▶ Twitter: 🤍mark_plants 🤍 WANNA SEND GIFT? I have a pair of Washingtonia Robustus in my yard and I didn't know how to prune them. When I learned how, I decided to make a video and have some fun with time lapse. I hope you enjoy it.
This is probably the most common species in the genus but also one of the more beautiful. It was one of the first uncommon Palms I ever acquired as a collector.
