In this video we look at the Switch Node found in Unreal Engine’s Sound Cue, switching between two types of loop for Bullet Time and Normal Time. Switches are really useful for changing the audio when we have different states, allowing us to instantly change what's playing based on whatever data we want to use. When we move, time moves. 🤍 This tutorial shows you how to fade in an audio cue
A sound cue plays, when some enemies switch aggro. This sound cue can be heard by the player to whom the enemy is going to attack. ↓↓↓ Chaos warriors, mini-bosses and map bosses have this sound cue. The game has plenty of audio issues, which might cause the sound cue to not play sometimes. The sound cue can only be heard within certain range of the monster. If the monster takes aggro from further away, the sound cue plays once the monster is close enough to the targeted player. The last sound cue in the video (from the troll on the roof) was triggered in this manner. The sound range is roughly as big as Animosity's knockback range. For example Stormfiend might switch aggro to a player and launch his flames outside of this range. The bug, which caused only the host to be able to hear the sound cue, has been fixed.

In this video we look at the Mixer Node in the Unreal Engine Sound Cue. It’s a pretty straightforward node but we can use it to create complex audio cues with multiple layers and daisy chains. This helps us flesh out a scene or space, especially with ambient and looping sounds, though we can use the Mixer Node for any type of sound in our cues.

Yamaha CL and QL series have two Cue buses and there are two Cue operation modes. Channel mode allows all input and output channels to be assigned to either Cue A or B, or both.
