This Space Engineers tutorial follows my design process for building a large ship in survival mode. Unlike the previous tutorials in this series this time the video follows along with the design process itself, I will explain how I made the decisions in the build so that you can try to apply those ideas to your own designs. This little miniseries is in a different style to my usual so if you like them as well please let me know as there are some other topics that I think would be best illustrated in a similar style. Only one Vanadium II supercruiser has ever been built - energy transfer limitations have always put a hard cap on the timeframe required to construct any spacecraft at all. The Vanadium II's creation was no exception, the vessel had been delayed multiple times in the past - originally slated for generation II, however never making it past the concept stage until focus shifted early into generation III; Where it became the primary manufacturing goal. Crews began atomic re-arrangement during the first month of 2449 - Requiring a total of almost 2 Earth years to complete construction. (I built this creation from scratch in june 2022) Vanadium II "Fist of God" (FOG) serves as St4rmfront's shock and aw destroyer of worlds. Regardless of the fact it does not mount the SS3Y WoMD. Vanadium II's are slightly lighter than the Asagao class dreadnoughts - They are built on a frame conforming to config 2 of generation III's modular interior system. The main shell of the vessel incorporates a considerable amount of space between the outer armour layer and the inernal armour layer. This attempts to counter tapered-bow ramming vessels from penetration into the interior systems; relegating damage to the outer shell only. The main weaponry includes 26 rocket launchers (6 front, 20 broadside : 10 starboard, 10 portside), 18 missile turrets massed on the heavily armored top and 1 long range gravity cannon in the bow. The battleship is able to execute long range operations, due to its good freight and hydrogen capacity, its 11 jump drives and its small hangar. Also able to fly in almost all environments from space to alien planet, but with a preference for low gravity ones due to its weight. Which power block is truly the best in Space Engineers? Is it the small reactor? The solar panel? The hydrogen engine? Which consumes more fuel, has the highest output, or is cheaper to build? In this video you will get your questions answered about all of the different power blocks in SE, for large grid. Now its time to find out which sits at the very top, and which belongs down in the trash compactor! "The horizon- 100 is a precise, adaptable, and manoeuvrable exploration ship. The ship embeds on its both sides an anchoring airlock system which can engage with other ships or stations. This airlock system creates pressurized and secure access allowing the crews transport between airtight space. In addition to its powerful rear thrusters, the ascending thrusters are even stronger, it offers Horizon-100 the ability to landing and take-off to and from planetary surface, despite its size. Defense is ensured by two twin-size turrets and one quadruple turrets, they are remotely operated. The large size hangar offer sufficient space to accommodate any small gridded cargos, vehicles or ships. The rear garage (Engineering Bay) can comfortably accommodate another standard-size rovers, which can be easily release by an elevator system."
