4 - Animation Layer Interface and Linked Anim Layers - Bow And Arrow - UE5 Blueprints We learn how to link other Animation Blueprints to our main Animation Blueprint with the use of the Animation Layer Interface. We start by linking animations with a Linked Anim Graph node. Then we create an Animation Layer Interface and see how Linked Anim Layers work. We learn how to use game logic to link an anim layer from a chosen Animation Blueprint for procedural behavior. This is how it's done in Lyra! Hey friends! Today we're taking a little dive in to the Anim State Machine - this will be more of a refresher for the intermediate users out there but you'll definitely pick up a new tip or trick! State machines are a great way to animate characters, particularly movement animation. States are mutually exclusive, which is why they are a very neat and tidy way to assign actions to your character's movement states. Hey everyone! Today we're looking at the Layer Blend Per Bone function inside the Anim Graph. This cool little thing allows us to play animations only on certain parts of the body whilst leaving other parts unchanged. This is extremely useful for separating animations between the top and bottom half of your characters so they can do things while they're walking/running. If you know how to use the function before you start animating, you can save a lot of time and effort! If you have any questions, feel free to ask in our Discord below! This video explains how the Blend Poses by Bool and Blend Poses by Enum work (and also Blend Poses by Int, I guess) The examples I give are very broad but there will come a time that you will understand when and where to use these functions. Blend by Enum is extremely handy for having multiple animation sets for different weapon types that require different animations, and Blend by Bool is great when you've created an animation feature that you need to turn on and off smoothly. If you use these nodes in your projects, please share what you use them for in the comments! If you have any questions, feel free to ask in our Discord below!
