Im a life long Conservative voter and also have 30+ in the textile industry. I can say without fear of being contradicted that the actions of the government at the time were criminal.

Tories were warned by the watchdog in 2016 that PPE supplies were totally inadequate for a pandemic. How they can say 'we did a great job getting PPE sorted', as if the shortage wasn't their fault at all, is well beyond me. The cheek of these politicians is insulting.

The nerve of the Tories. Nothing is ever their fault. They should have been more professional in their approach to PPE, the 'but we were desperate' and 'the public gave us the phone numbers of PPE contacts' don't wash. They've always come down heavy on benefit fraud but have to be dragged kicking and screaming to just look at covid fraud. Mainly because they're involved in said fraud scandals. It's absolutely despicable, these politicians can get away with murder and we can't even ask what the hell they've been playing at. They're nothing but a bunch of crooks.
Usual incompetence. should not be excused as overall control was never the case despite the obvious dangers, that they fell into at every stage. The waste was phenomenal and the policies on masks was self destructive. No one would set up a company when the product is being trashed by govmt, QUITE WRONGLY.
