How can we be satisfied without cost? How can we be wealthy with only the bare minimum? Several philosophers of the past shed their light on questions like these. And, according to some, the cheaper your pleasures, the richer you'll be. This video explores different views on wealth, desire, and pleasure and how being ‘rich’ can be pretty cheap (minimalist philosophy). This video gave me a whole new perspective on happiness, minimalism and contentment. I learned a lot. Thank you for creating and sharing this invaluable knowledge!
Getting rid of chronic pain is my biggest pleasure. Once it was achieved, doesn’t need money to maintain. I can just sit outside alone and think back how painful that was just to sit outside 🤣

This video is very good therapy for me. I like all of your videos, but i think this one has help me the most. And I'm glad i watched it today. I was losing faith in my value system and feeling angry and corrupted but feel much better now hearing about their answers these great philosophers had to modern day issues. Materialism is a sickness, and these men had the cure.
Traveling doesn’t have to be always a five star luxury trip. It’s the experience you gain from it that’s rewarding and enriching. And those experiences can be in the form of eating at a hidden mom and pop gem that cost hardly nothing in a small village. To each his own but to dismiss travel is a fallacy. Travel can be just as simple and pleasurable.
What if your healthcare is keeping you broke?
Nothing beats seeing this on payday 😎💪
Thank you so much for all the valuable lessons 🙏
You're the best!
Materialism is ridiculous so boring .
Minimalist is the best freedom of this society
I think pleasure can lie in expensive items, but it's how you enjoy it. Someone may buy a diamond ring, wear it and never actually look at it. Their intention is that other people see it and are impressed, perhaps it's signalling some superiority. But, what if someone loves to sit and look at that diamond, loves the play if light in it, is amazed that nature can create such beauty? Perhaps expensive pleasures aren't so bad, but our motives for persuing them (especially quantity over quality) quite often are.
But banana bread? At fucking work, dude!? Hell, yeah!!
Great video, findining this very useful along with trying a minimalism lifestyle change. After being raised by a materialistic parent, many problems have been ingrained upon me.
Can anyone site that reference to the American Journal of Industrial Medicine?
