Of all the different kinds of bike horns and bells that we've tried over the years the AirZound is by far the best and loudest. It really keeps up safe by letting traffic know we're next to them or to announce our presence at intersections and in heavy city traffic.
On this bike lane in Ottawa, cars need to yield to cyclists when making a right turn across the bike lane. I was fully ready to stop in case she didn't, but gave her a few AirZound toots. It wasn't to impose my right of way. It was more to put a check on her aggressive driving. She gunned it just seconds before. If she hadn't been cut off by that other car, she would have made that turn without any hesitation or checking if it was safe. Should a cyclist have been 30' further ahead in this scenario, there would have been a high probability of a right hook collision. Cyclist need to be aware of their surroundings, but so do drivers. I was giving a little toot to the car stopped partly in the cycle lane, but didn't realise the effect it'd have on the two pedestrians. Doh! I felt quite bad...

Just purchased this Airzound Horn and air wasnt going in ( when pumping ) or out when pressing the horn. Something wasnt right. I just figured out 10 minutes later why. Hope this help. #airzound #pump #horn

Конструкция накачивается обычным насосом и устанавливается на руль велосипеда. 115 децебел заставляют водителей нервно смотреть в зеркала в поисках догоняюшего их грузовика Впечатление из блога: Стал на днях обладателем данного девайса. Скажу сразу, что дудка Air Zound 3 - это страшная вещь :). Выдает 115 децибел звука от которого все шарахаются в разные стороны. Установил на велосипед, немного потестил и первые впечатления только положительные. Водители, которые пытаются открыть дверь передо мной или пытаются подрезать, резко перестают это делать, пешеходы, которые не смотрят на дорогу и переходят ее в неположенном месте, после сигнала с нее убираются и начинают искать пешеходный переход. Так что для байкера вещь полезная и нужная. Тем более в правилах для велосипедистов так и написано: велосипед должен быть оборудован звуковым сигналом :). 1. Конечно же громкость звучания, кстати громкость можно регулировать. 115 Дб - это не шутки. Если Вы не хотите, чтобы все пачкали штаны при звуках вашей дудки - прикрутите громкость. 2. Небольшой вес конструкции. Весит -120 грамм. Тяжело возить не будет. 3. Заменяемый баллон. Подойдет любая ПЭТ бутылка. Надо - ставь двухлитровую баклажку и вперед! 4. Накачать баллон можно любым велосипедным насосом, поэтому не нужны ни батарейки, ни аккумуляторы. 5. Благодаря хомутам баллон Air Zound можно разместить в любом удобном месте. Some people have commented that the AirZound is too harsh to use on pedestrians and that you should call out or use your bell instead. You can see here the different effects that each of these has, and that only the AirZound gets pedestrians attention. I find my bell really useful on shared use paths, and a few dings as I approach usually works, but in the main the AirZound is the only thing that gets the pedestrians to take notice.

Det er påbudt med ringeklokke, men ofte passer det best å ikke bruke den, og noen ganger føles den utilstrekkelig for hva jeg ønsker å oppnå. Av og til skulle jeg ønske jeg hadde en AirZound You are required by law to have a bell on your bicycle, but often it is best not to use it, and then again, in other cases it is hardly sufficient to use a tiny bell. Some times I wish I had an AirZound. (Probably not legal in Norway, though popular among urban commuters).

My first cycling vlog! My purpose for this episode was originally to see how long my Delta Airzound Bike Horn filled with 95PSI of compressed air could last on a Saturday afternoon filled with crazy drivers and traffic. In this video, a random kid keeps stalking me on his bicycle. I explain to you how/why I ride my bicycle the way I do (while I ride). A Lexus sets up a (sort of) right hook as I swerve around in frustration. A giant poodle with sunglasses(?) enjoys the breeze. A cop I passed earlier pulled over a Ford Fusion. A Nissan recklessly changes lanes without a turn signal. A baby sitting in the back glass of a Corolla stares me down as the vehicle passes me. A Subaru WRX with an exhaust backfires right as he passes me, scaring me pretty bad. Someone was actually nice and slowed down to let me cross the ramp! A car waits until the last minute to change lanes from the right lane. A Prius pulls out of a left turn lane to go straight. Another cyclist crosses the road in an utterly ridiculous, making all cyclists look bad. I see an Audi i8. A Toyota Highlander stops in the left lane to make a right turn. I ended up not being able to deplete the air horn before the end of the day. This video is ONLY PART 1 of this episode on YouTube to use my Delta Airzound Bike Horn during my ride on this particular day. I tried to put together a longer yet entertaining video for you guys. Constructive criticism on how I ride, how I talk, or how I anything, is expected and welcome. PLEASE NOTE: the footage presented in this video is anywhere from 1-2 years old. Maybe more. At any rate, it's not recent. I do not necessarily approve of the way I reacted to situations throughout this video. Just wanted to make that clear. Pedestrians are walking in the cycle lane of the shared path, blocking overtaking of the cyclist. Once the pedestrians are cleared, the cyclist in front is still riding in the middle of the narrow bi-directional cycle lane. It takes several attempts with an AirZound horn for the headphone-wearing cyclist in front to move to the right of the lane, allowing cyclists behind to pass. First bite is a warning that not everyone can hear an airzound. I stop using it as I get closer, I don't want to scare anyone. As it turns out the lady had good reason not to hear the horn. Second part shows why I am not too keen on bells.
